What is an sref code?
In Midjourney, adding a number such as --sref 1140445035 to the end of a prompt applies a fixed visual style. There are billions of codes, and you can't tell what a code looks like until you try it. The same code can also look different depending on the model (--v / --niji) and --sv.
Sref Explorer lets you see that before you spend a single generation.
What you can do
- Search by number: type a code and see examples of its style
- Random: hit 🎲 and discover a style you didn't know
- Filter by style (watercolor, manga, photographic…), color, or model and version
- Sref of the day: one featured code every day
- Copy the command: copy
--sref number --v 8.2in one click and paste it into your prompt - Favorites and sharing: save the codes you like and share them with a link
- Three languages: Japanese, English and Spanish
How the examples are made
Every image is generated by MetAI with its own Midjourney account. Each code is rendered with the same kinds of subjects — people, landscapes, architecture and more — so styles are easy to compare. Style names, descriptions and keywords are drafted with AI, and color palettes are extracted from the images automatically.
How to use it
- Find a style you like in Sref Explorer
